Coverage challenges can be overcome and wireless coverage requirements can be met with Distributed Antenna Systems.
Reliable Emergency Responders Radio Coverage Systems (ERRCS) are now mandated and code enforcement throughout the U.S. is accelerating.
Wireless technologies are replacing traditional (wired) delivery of voice, video, and data services.
We provide clients with turn-key solutions focusing on the critical aspects of each project.

Enterprise
organizations across virtually every industry are working faster, smarter, and more
efficiently with a broad range of wireless technology. Today’s wireless
networks aren’t just for early adopters any more – benefits of a robust
enterprise wireless strategy help businesses of all kinds establish a
competitive advantage whether it be a hospital, college campus or corporate
wide network.

The explosive growth of smart phones has created an
expectation that wireless coverage be ubiquitous, not only outdoors but also in
buildings. Those working in or visiting
businesses, universities, hospitals, hotels, and other public venues (i.e. stadiums,
airports) want - if not need - to be connected anywhere they are. Businesses
and venues of all kinds are under increasing pressure to provide a variety of
wireless services to employees, students and customers to stay competitive.
Driving this is the fact that wireless technologies are
replacing traditional (wired) delivery of voice, video, and data services. Wireless service provider data indicates that
up to 80% of wireless usage now occurs indoors, thus compounding the need for
reliable service where it may be limited or non-existent.

The design, build, commissioning and maintenance of a DAS is a complex undertaking. The right mix of products and services, delivered by experienced professionals, is required for success. This includes an intimate understanding of FCC, carrier, and first-responder requirements for the system.

Radio Coverage Systems (ERRCS) are now mandated and code enforcement throughout
the U.S. is accelerating. Compliance is no longer optional and ordinances
affect new construction, renovations and in some jurisdictions even existing
structures. Determining the existence of adequate radio coverage and the
correction of deficiencies are the responsibility of every building owner. The
need for the two-way radio service to meet this growing need is becoming the
primary application for a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) network.
The
Radio Systems utilized by first responders operate in one or multiple frequency
bands allocated to Public Safety including VHF, UHF, 800MHz NPSPAC and new
700/800MHz Spectrum.

Fire codes require a minimum received signal strength of -95dBm in 95% of the building. Coverage area is typically required in all critical areas include emergency command centers, fire pump room(s), exits, stairwells, elevators and lobbies.
Buildings that do not support adequate radio coverage shall be equipped with FCC approved amplifiers, backup power and an indoor antenna system to improve communications within the building
Fire Code Enforcement is typically performed through the Building Permit Process and may be inspected along with the fire alarm and sprinkler systems by the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). The AHJ may enforce the code at any building.
Data collection via a specific grid test for public safety may require licensed FCC technicians.
